“Words cannot express what this post means to me. Those that are closest to me know how long the journey to motherhood has been for me and how happy I am that this moment has finally arrived.⁣⁣
God has blessed us with IVF which has given us the opportunity to start our little family. It goes without saying that IVF is a challenging and emotional journey that we have been through for the past 2+ years, but it is worth every shot (250 and counting), worth every tear, and yes every dollar that has gone into this process.⁣⁣
Happy to share that after:⁣⁣
2 rounds of IVF⁣⁣
2 egg retrievals⁣⁣
2 embryo transfers⁣⁣
We are 12 weeks pregnant with our growing baby! Thank you to the office for all your support these past couple of years. Thank you to our IVF doctor for guiding us along the way and being our wonderful support system. You are God-sent. 🙏 Thank you to our families that have been with us through this long journey sharing the good moments and the bad. 🤔 Thinking of freezing your eggs? 🤔⁣
⁣
There are many reasons why women may wonder, or have concerns about their future fertility.⁣
⁣
While egg freezing is not a guarantee, it does provide a opportunity to capture and preserve your current fertility potential if ever needed in the future.⁣
⁣
What would that process look like?⁣
⁣
First we would begin by having a consultation to review your medical history, discuss your goals, and perform some baseline health and ovarian reserve testing.⁣
⁣
We will meet and review all of these results together, walk you through what to expect with the process, both in terms of the ovarian stimulation and number of possible eggs retrieved, as well as what that might mean in terms of future pregnancy potential.⁣
⁣
Then, we begin the ovarian stimulation with injectable hormone medications that will provide fuel for as many of the follicles that are available and capable in the ovaries that month to grow. You undergo an egg retrieval procedure under anesthesia and the mature eggs are frozen.⁣
⁣
The process from start to finish may take anywhere from 1 to 3 months (depending on your protocol and the specifics of your IVF center), after the egg retrieval you will usually get your period within 1 to 2 weeks.⁣
⁣
Egg freezing is a very personal decision. Is it for everyone? No. Age and other factors play key roles in the utility and potential success of this procedure. ⁣
⁣
But if learning more about your fertility is something that interests or concerns you, getting some baseline fertility testing is a great place to start to see if egg freezing might be a good option for you.⁣
⁣

No tengo palabras de agradecimiento a Dios y a la vida, así como también a la clínica y a las doctoras y por escucharnos y darnos esperanza cuando no la teníamos. Valentino llegó gracias a una inseminacion artificial luego de varios tratamientos….
