Please welcome, Dr Ronald Walton to the LeadER team!
Dr. Walton is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Emergency and Critical Care. His special interests include autoimmune, gastrointestinal, and respiratory diseases, as well as regenerative medicine. He enjoys endoscopy and has a strong interest in advanced minimally invasive procedures utilizing thoracoscopic and laparoscopic diagnostics. With more than 25 years of experience in stem cell research and regenerative therapies, Dr. Walton has been a leader in developing innovative treatment approaches for complex medical conditions.
A retired U.S. Army officer with over 20 years of service, Dr. Walton served as the staff veterinarian for the White House and worked closely with the U.S. Secret Service and military working dog programs. Throughout his military career, he was deeply involved in medical and surgical research and development.
Dr. Waltonβs passion for immunology and physiology naturally led him to a career in internal medicine. He earned his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from the University of California, Davis, completed a rotating internship at the University of Georgia in Athens, and earned a Master of Science degree from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, where he also completed dual residencies in Emergency and Critical Care and Small Animal Internal Medicine.
He has authored and co authored numerous research papers and medical book chapters and has been an invited lecturer at both national and international veterinary conferences.
