Congratulations to beautiful Amber for completing her 8 week recovery from her TPLO surgery with Dr Z, in our Boca Location!πŸŽ“πŸŽ‰
TPLO, or tibial plateau leveling osteotomy, is a common orthopedic surgery for dogs that stabilizes the knee joint after a cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) injury. The procedure involves cutting and rotating the top of the shin bone (tibial plateau) to eliminate the need for the CCL and stabilize the joint with a plate and screws. Dogs may need TPLO surgery due to trauma, degenerative ligament changes, or genetic predisposition.
