Our Good Friday was a Good Friday in deed. We started off the morning with an Easter Hymn sing, poignant short video, and prayer. Afternoon bingo and a fun end to the night enjoying Peter Rabbit with pop corn and soda. Loving our new projector and the fun possibilities it provides. God bless you all! And praise Him, Sunday is coming!

Grateful for friendships and things to do on the rainy days. Our Monday mornings with Chaplain Jeff are a great way to start our week. Tuesday morning visits from Deacon Tom for communion are welcome. A service led by Pastor Lloyd Hemstreet Wednesday morning brought more reminders of Holy week. A game of horse racing, traditional afternoon Bingo, baking with friends and serious work on some Easter crafts kept our hearts and hands full and busy. This morning we were even blessed with a sweet little treat from Circle of Friends. They say it takes a village and it is easy to say, we truly appreciate all of ours.

Happy Friday!!! What a great week at Fountain View Assisted Living. We have enjoyed so many different activities together and the continued sharing of life and laughter through it all.

Our new video series Bible study (God Cares Ministry) has been a big hit and a bigger blessing; Wednesday's church service was led by one of our own residents; spring was in the air and called for some crafting; chair yoga with follow up chair dancing got us moving with purpose; we had the joy of celebrating a couple birthdays; a game of tic-tac-roll brought out our competitive sides; baking brought us together; and a tea/coffee social hour where we answered 20 questions about our twenties let us get to know each other better and even share some life advice.

In other news we have enjoyed some updates to our Life Enrichment office (which now offers a warm comforting space for residents and volunteers alike to spend some time and share their thoughts) and ticket store. The ticket store has been an enjoyable commodity for the residents over the years. As with all things, change comes with time and a much-needed facelift and restructuring is an excited welcome as we seek to open up shop on April 6.

Thanks for following along and sharing our moments with us!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!! Hope you all enjoyed celebrating as much as we did here! We had a fun day all around. Smiles, Laughter, busy, hands and even a little dirt under our nails. We enjoyed reading about the history of St. Patrick, playing related word games, tossing coins into our pot of Gold, and planting faux shamrock bulbs in our freshly decorated pots, to tend and care for. We also celebrated a birthday with singing, cake and comradery of friendship. Last but not least, we enjoyed the anticipated arrival of spring by painting our own spring flowers to decorate our tables.
In the words of St. Patrick: "May the Strength of God guide us.
May the Power of God preserve us.
May the Wisdom of God instruct us.
May the Hand of God protect us.
May the Way of God direct us.
May the Shield of God defend us.
May the Angels of God guard us."

Wrapping up our week, we enjoyed a fun spring themed board game that also got our bodies moving and brought laughter, smiles and warm thoughts of spring. We spent time making, baking and sharing peanut butter cookies, March trivia, Music with Ms. Jean, church services, weekly bingo, and a fun new look at the curious animal: the mole...while enjoying Mud and dirt dessert and a riveting competition of Wack-a-Mole ;)

Last week we enjoyed the simple moments together. A week filled with celebrations, fun, love, smiles and laughter. Sometimes the simplest moments are what does the heart, mind, soul and body the greatest good.

A 90th birthday celebrated; 70th anniversary; a large group to try out Uno 8; dedicated ladies enjoying word games and puzzles; yogurt parfaits; reminiscing about handy work, tools and honey do lists; an always favorite round of balloon volleyball with special guests; and a fun game of Guess that TV Tune that brought back memories. All of this along with our normal Bible study time and church services throughout the week. We are staying busy! Loving the moments shared, smiles seen, laughter heard and just time connecting. It’s what life is all about!
