It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Carolyn Billman.

Carolyn was a long-time board member and staff member at Bay Area First Step whose dedication, compassion, and belief in recovery touched countless lives. She gave so much of herself to this organization and to the people we serve. Carolyn truly helped many and loved all.

Her legacy lives on through the individuals, families, and community she supported so faithfully over the years. She will be deeply missed by all of us at Bay Area First Step.

We hold Carolyn’s family, friends, and loved ones in our thoughts during this difficult time.

We held another successful Mental Health Peer Support Training last week.

A big thank you to the class of new Peer Support Specialists and the trainers for showing up,being present and participating!

We are grateful to have had the opportunity to provide you the education needed to further your knowledge and careers in the Traditional Healthcare Workforce.

You all will do amazing things supporting your community members!
