🌷 Spring Break Learning Can Still Be Fun!
Spring break is a great time to relax and recharge—but it can also be a wonderful opportunity to keep literacy skills active in simple, everyday ways. Children with IEPs often benefit from consistent practice, and the good news is learning doesn’t have to feel like schoolwork. Small moments throughout the day can help support reading, writing, vocabulary, and communication skills.
Try a few of these simple activities during spring break:
📚 Read together each day—even 10 minutes helps.
✉️ Encourage your child to draw or write about their day in a travel journal.
🔤 Play simple word games at home or in the car.
🪧 Practice reading signs, menus, or labels when you’re out.
🎭 Make up silly stories together and take turns adding to the story.
These small activities help children maintain progress while still enjoying their break.
