Its Day 30 of 42 Days of Holiday Cheer ✨

Today we learned about Kwanzaa, a week-long celebration centered on community, culture, and the Seven Principles. Residents enjoyed learning a bit about its meaning and spending time together at our community social. 🖤❤️💚

We also continued our 12 Days of Christmas Culinary Challenge with a cranberry & brie tart and a cranberry citrus bourbon cocktail, the perfect pairing to pay homage to the Two Turtle Doves

It’s Day 29 of 42 Days of Holiday Cheer 🎄✨
It’s Christmas Day! We shared resident gifts and began our beloved 12 Days of Christmas Culinary Challenge, featuring a special dish each day.

And on the first day of Christmas, our true love gave to us… spiced pear crisp!

Wishing a very Merry Christmas to our residents, staff, and families… we are so grateful to celebrate this season with you all!

It’s Day 28 of 42 Days of Holiday Cheer 🎄✨
Christmas Eve has brought the sweetest anticipation as we gathered to be read ’Twas the Night Before Christmas — first by our Executive Director John, and then by our beloved resident Pat, who shared the story from her own 96-year-old copy she received when she was just 2 years old!

We also lit the final white candle of Advent, marking the fullness of the season and the joy of what’s to come. A beautiful moment of making ready for Christmas together. 🕯️❤️

Our residents and families have the BIGGEST most generous hearts!

Today we were pleased to take a literal bus load of donations to Akron Snow Angels for our 2025 Holiday Season donation drive! This local non-profit collects new and gently used items to support people experiencing homelessness during colder months.

It’s Day 27 of 42 Days of Holiday Cheer 💚🎄
Today was Festivus & Bah Humbug Day! This is a playful break from all the holiday hustle and cheer. After so many festive days, we made space for our inner Grinch, a little mischief, and a lot of laughs.

The Grinch made his rounds, and we ended the day with Grinch movie watch parties throughout the community. A fun reminder that there’s room for every kind of holiday spirit here!

It’s Day 25 of 42 Days of Holiday Cheer 🎅❄️
Today we celebrated Brunch with Santa on the Winter Solstice, marking the shortest day of the year and the return of longer, brighter days ahead. Residents enjoyed festive food, warm company, and plenty of holiday cheer.

We also honored the Fourth Week of Advent, symbolizing Love, and celebrated Night Seven of Hanukkah, lighting another candle and continuing a beautiful season of light, reflection, and togetherness.

Today was all about Holiday Trivia with our Wellness Director Tommi! Residents had a fun time testing their holiday knowledge, sharing laughs, and learning new facts together.

As a special bonus, we were treated to beautiful music from harpist Rebekah, adding a festive, melodic touch to the day.
