With annual STAAR testing 📚 in April & May, we wanted to encourage our students with a few helpful tips:
🧠 Get a good night’s sleep
Rested brains think better! Aim for an early bedtime!
🥞 Don’t skip breakfast
Fuel up with protein + healthy carbs for sustained energy.
🎒 Be prepared
Lay out clothes, pack snacks, and arrive on time to avoid stress.
💧 Hydrate
Water helps with focus and prevents fatigue.
💬 Encourage, don’t pressure
A calm, positive mindset goes a long way! Remind them to just do their best!
🧘♀️ Practice calm breathing
If they feel nervous, slow deep breaths can help reset their focus.
✏️ Take your time & read carefully
Remind them it’s okay to go slow and double-check their work.
