OK, this week is my tribute to Marilyn Monroe..I just keep coming across more and more interesting facts about her beauty tips, especially related to Erno Laszlo.
So here is some more interesting stuff I found on wgsn.com
"Marilyn Monroe is Hollywood’s golden beauty. Her name evokes images of that white dress, the Happy Birthday song for President Kennedy, that mole, that blonde hair. This August marks the 50th anniversary of her death and her beauty remains as stunning today as it was back in the 60s.
According to The Daily Telegraph, Monroe’s beauty regimen consisted of applying Vaseline, hormone cream, and Erno Laszlo Active pHelityl Cream or Nivea cream to get a glow under studio lights. Surprisingly, Monroe expert Gene London reveals that Monroe had a heavy peach fuzz beard, a side effect of the hormone cream. While studio chiefs wanted to remove the hair, Monroe refused because she believed that the fuzz gave her a soft glow under studio lights. While other actresses were photographed through special lenses, lace or Vaseline, Monroe had her fuzz to thank. And to wash it all off, she used Shu Uemura cleansing oil, splashing fifteen times with cold water to seal her pores."
