3 Things I Wouldn’t Do as a Plastic Surgeon 🙅♂️

🩺 Choose a surgeon who isn’t board-certified:

Board certification matters. It reflects formal training, rigorous testing, and adherence to the highest safety standards. Your body, and your outcome, deserve that level of expertise.

💙 Have a transaxillary (underarm) breast augmentation:

While this approach avoids a breast incision, it creates a significantly higher risk for capsular contracture. In my practice, I have less than a 1% occurrence rate.

✨ Skip regular breast self-exams:

Knowing your own baseline is essential. Weekly breast checks help you notice changes early, whether you’ve had surgery or not. Early awareness saves lives.

These aren't just my preferences, they're rooted in patient safety and long-term outcomes.
