Healthy Body Talk Week came to a close, and we’re so grateful for every student who stopped by to reflect, connect, and rethink the way we talk about our bodies. Throughout the week, COPE created space for honest conversations about comparison, self-image, eating habits, and the impact of stigmatizing language.

Thank you to everyone who showed up with curiosity and openness. Together, we can shift the narrative toward body neutrality, compassion, and healthier ways of speaking to ourselves and each other!

Today, COPE welcomed students from The Mental Health Club at Christopher Columbus High School to the University of Miami for a powerful day of conversation and connection.

Our male-identified COPE members shared personal testimonies about their own mental health journeys and led open discussions about well-being, vulnerability, and breaking stigma within male communities.

The students asked thoughtful questions about campus resources and what it truly means to prioritize mental health in college. Their curiosity, openness, and passion for change reflect the kind of leadership that inspires hope for the future.

Thank you to the students and mentors from Christopher Columbus High School for spending the day with us and for your commitment to shaping a generation of young men who choose empathy, awareness, and courage.

We are whole and complete just the way we are.

11/12, 6:30–8:00 pm – Herbert Wellness Center

The Clothesline Project gave our campus community space to confront the reality of sexual assault, domestic violence, and all forms of abuse and violence. Each shirt carries the story of a survivor— stories of pain, courage, and resilience hanging side by side. Through every shirt displayed, COPE helped spark conversations, raise awareness, and remind our community that healing begins when we listen, believe, and stand together.
