Amblyopia, also referred to as “lazy eye”, is a central vision development disorder in which one eye does not develop normal visual acuity or sharpness of vision. This results in blurred vision in the suffering eye. Amblyopia can occur in both eyes, however, usually just one is affected.

👀 Squinting to see faraway objects
📚 Holding books, tablets, or phones very close
📺 Sitting too close to the TV
🚶‍♂️ Difficulty seeing the board at school
🤕 Frequent headaches or eye strain
😣 Complaints about blurry distance vision
📉 Decline in school performance (often due to not seeing clearly)
👁️ Excessive blinking or eye rubbing
