2 days away from Walk, Run, Roll 5K - A Race for Inclusion

On March 29th, we’re coming together at TY Park for something truly special — a 5K that’s not just about crossing a finish line, but about celebrating movement, inclusion, and community.

This race is open to everyone — Whether you want to walk, run, or roll, this 5K is for all paces, all abilities, and all hearts.

What makes this event even more meaningful is that it’s designed to be fully inclusive for individuals with disabilities. We will have volunteers ready to assist anyone who would like support along the way— because everyone deserves the chance to experience the joy of movement, side by side with our community.

This is more than a race — it’s a chance to show up for each other, to celebrate what our bodies can do, and to move forward, together.

Free DS Exceptional Educator Training 2024:

Have you shared this flyer with your principal, teacher, speech therapist, occupational therapist, Para/ESP, and anyone who works with your child?

Broward Gold Coast Down Syndrome Organization, DS Committee of Broward ESE Advisory Council and The Broward County School District-ESE Department, are Proud to Partner on this free training program for our educators. An all-day training designed to enhance teachers’ ability to educate students with Down syndrome.

Exceptional Educator Training opens to all educators who provide service to a student with Down syndrome. Practical solutions for educating students with Down syndrome.

We will provide a certificate of completion to the participants. Your school principal will approve and provide the substitute teachers to cover the classroom. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

We strongly encourage you to reach out to your teachers ASAP and invite them to attend.
