Sonya graduated from Syracuse University in 1997 with Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Child and Family Studies. In 2004, she earned her Master of Social Work, with a specialty in Child and Family Welfare from San Jose State University. Sonya has continued her education through numerous trainings that include topics such as: trauma and traumatic stress, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, su***de, and couples therapy to name a few. With over 16 years on therapy experience, Sonya is an expert in her field and remains committed to helping her clients share their stories to find clarity, closure, and happiness.
