🦠 Healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) present a significant and preventable risk within clinical settings, costing thousands of lives and greatly increasing treatment complexity.

One of the leading culprits of spreading HAIs is ultrasound gel. Contaminated ultrasound gel has been identified as a vector for cross-contamination, potentially introducing bacteria into the blood stream and contributing to nosocomial infection 😷 .
