Brown Deer Place was honored to participate in Toys for Tots this year, collecting donations from our residents, families, and health care partners to help children in need.

When I delivered our donations, I had the wonderful surprise of seeing Becky Leaven, the daughter of one of our Memory Care residents, Mary Pottorff, volunteering among the many caring helpers. It was a special reminder of how connected our Brown Deer Place family is, both inside and outside our community.

We’re grateful for volunteers like Becky, whose kindness and generosity truly make a difference during the holiday season.

Thank you to everyone who contributed—together, we helped spread joy and brighten the lives of local children.

Through the month of November, Brown Deer Place came together with one purpose in mind: Giving back!

Our residents, staff, health care partners, and family members filled our halls with generosity as they contributed to our community Food Drive. Every can, every box, every small act of kindness added up to something truly meaningful.

Today, Eddie, our Sales & Marketing Director, delivered all donations to the Coralville Food Pantry on behalf of our entire community. Moments like these remind us that when we each give just a little, we can make a very big difference for neighbors in need.

We want to extend a sincere thank you to Lena Adams Music for their incredible performance at our Friday Happy Hour! She is the perfect entertainment for our residents as we are mid holiday season.
We are so grateful for talent like hers and hope everyone had a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving holiday!
Brown Deer Place is thankful and blessed for her commitment to making us smile and wiggle!

She will be returning very soon for our mystical holiday party on Friday, December 19th! Do not miss it! So much magic and love is planned to round out 2025! 🥂 ❤️
