✨Program Spotlight ✨
Cumberland River Victims Services (CRVS) is a survivor-centered program dedicated to supporting individuals impacted by sexual assault. The program provides confidential, compassionate, and trauma-informed services designed to promote safety, healing, and empowerment. CRVS offers crisis intervention, advocacy, violence prevention programs, specialized counseling, and assistance navigating medical and legal rights of victims while providing community resources. By honoring each survivor’s choices and experiences, CRVS works to reduce the impact of trauma, prevent future acts of harm, increase access to resources, and help survivors regain a sense of control and hope on their path to recovery.
A 24/7 crisis hotline is available for immediate emotional support and safety planning for anyone in crisis as a result of sexual abuse/assault. Advocates provide emotional assistance during medical exams (Sexual Assault Forensic Exam), provide support with survivors’ choices in reporting, and provide support through any court proceeding. Trauma informed therapy for survivors and their support system is provided by specially trained licensed therapists. All services are free of charge.
