Today, Crisp Regional Health proudly recognizes Dietitian Nutritionist Day and celebrates the important work of our Registered Dietitian Nutritionists.

Nutrition plays a critical role in healing, recovery, and long-term health. Our RDNs work closely with patients and care teams to provide expert guidance that supports better outcomes, helps manage chronic conditions, and empowers patients to make healthier choices.

We are grateful for the knowledge, compassion, and dedication of our Registered Dietitian Nutritionists: Emily King, RDN, Lindsay Roberts, RDN, and Karin Lee, RDN. Their commitment to personalized nutrition care helps strengthen the health of our patients and our community every day.

During Patient Safety Awareness Week, our team at Crisp Regional is sharpening skills that protect both patients and staff every day. šŸ„

This week, team members participated in a donning and doffing exercise, practicing the proper sequence for putting on and removing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). These critical, ordered procedures—sanitizing hands, gowning, masking, applying eye protection, and gloving, followed by carefully removing each item—help prevent the spread of infection and reduce the risk of self-contamination.

While the training focuses on a serious responsibility, our team added a little friendly competition and fun to the exercise. Practicing together helps build confidence and ensures that when the moment matters, every step is performed safely and correctly. Could you completely remove the PPE without contacting any shaving cream?

Preparation like this is just one of the many ways our team works every day to ensure the highest level of safety for our patients, our staff, and our community. šŸ’™

March is National Social Workers Month, and at Crisp Regional Health Services we are proud to recognize the incredible work of our Social Workers who serve patients and families every day across our organization.

From the hospital floors to our ancillary service offices, our Social Workers play a vital role in supporting the overall patient experience. They help patients and families navigate complex healthcare decisions, coordinate care and resources, assist with discharge planning, and provide compassionate guidance during some of life’s most challenging moments.

Their work often happens behind the scenes, but its impact is felt by patients, families, caregivers, and our entire care team. Social Workers bring empathy, advocacy, and expertise to every situation, helping ensure that each patient receives not only excellent medical care, but also the support and dignity they deserve.

We are grateful for the dedication, compassion, and professionalism our Social Workers bring to Crisp Regional each and every day.

Please join us in thanking our Social Workers for the important difference they make in the lives of those we serve. šŸ’™

🟦 Patient Safety Awareness Week at Crisp Regional 🟦

Learning can be fun—especially when it helps keep our patients safe.

As part of Patient Safety Awareness Week, our team is participating in a Fall Prevention Escape Room, combining a fun challenge with a staged patient-care scenario designed to test staff knowledge and awareness of fall prevention practices.

Participants work together to identify safety risks, solve clues, and apply best practices for protecting patients from falls—one of the most important aspects of hospital safety.

Congratulations to Ashley Mixon and Flint Mathis, who successfully ā€œescapedā€ the room! Their teamwork and knowledge helped them navigate the challenge and demonstrate the importance of staying vigilant when it comes to patient safety.

At Crisp Regional, patient safety is always our top priority, and initiatives like this help reinforce the skills and awareness that keep our patients safe every day.
