For most, a blister or cut on the foot is a small inconvenience that a Band-Aid™ and time will heal, but that’s not the case for the 38.4 million Americans who have diabetes. Complications of diabetes, like neuropathy and peripheral vascular diseases, make feet vulnerable to ulcers that can lead to infection and even amputation. If you have a diabetes-related wound, the Cordell Memorial Hospital Wound Care Center can help! Call 580.832.3330 for more information.

🕰️ We’ve officially fallen back!
Daylight Saving Time has ended, and while the clocks may say we gained an hour, our sleep schedules might still be catching up.
If you're feeling a little off today, you're not alone. Even small shifts in time can throw off our rhythm. Be kind to yourself as your body adjusts—and maybe enjoy a little extra rest if you can. 😴

This month, we’re joining the movement to raise awareness about diabetes prevention and healthy living. As we “fall back” on November 2nd, take advantage of the extra hour to focus on something vital - sleep.

Quality rest plays a big role in blood sugar control, appetite, and overall health. Poor sleep can increase insulin resistance and make it harder to manage or prevent diabetes.

Aim for 7–9 hours of sleep each night to recharge your body and support a healthy routine. Let’s make this time change a reminder to reset - your clocks and your health habits.
