Last week was nothing short of amazing! A great crowd came out to support BRA Day with fun, food, games, and tissue education! Thank you to for providing the big pink chair, The & for delicious food and sweet treats for our guests who stopped by. Also, thanks to Baptist and West Cancer Foundation for setting up tables and providing resources and goodies for our guest who stopped by. We all had a great time. Thank you to those who participated in the bra decorating contest! You guys are really creative, and the judging was definitely hard for our judges to pick the winners. Thank you again for coming out for a great cause and spreading information about breast reconstruction awareness.

A couple weekends ago, We had the opportunity to be a part of one of our YES YOU SHOULD influencers, , for her 2-day official book signing event for her debut memoir “The Rise of Ladia Yates.”

We couldn’t be more proud to witness her shine in this new chapter! From the dance floor to the pages of her story, Ladia continues to be a beacon of inspiration and a powerful example for the next generation of dancers and dreamers.

A couple weekends ago, members of our team had the honor of attending and celebrating the 10th Anniversary of Donor Hero Ashlyn Perritt.

We’re so thankful to Owners Box Sports Grill for opening their doors and providing such a beautiful space for family, friends, and supporters to gather in her memory. It was an afternoon filled with love, reflection, and community — a true celebration of Ashlyn’s life and the lasting impact of her selfless decision to give the gift of life.

Meeting Ashlyn’s family and hearing how her legacy continues to touch lives reminded us all why we do what we do. Her story continues to inspire hope and reminds us of the power of donation to change and save lives.

First becoming sick at ten months old and later developing kidney disease from either upper respiratory issues or strep throat, Lutz was left with only experimentation of medication from her health providers because, being raised in the sixties, dialysis wasn’t a thing until the seventies. Growing into a tom-boyish teenager and joining the volleyball team at her high school brought attention to her stroke-level blood pressure, which created more concerns with tests. It wasn’t until about five years ago that Lutz was notified that she may want to begin thinking about transplantation because her kidneys were failing more. She would need to go on dialysis to preserve her health until receiving a kidney. After waiting and having others test to see if they were a match, her youngest daughter was a perfect match and went through with being a living kidney donor. Now recently passing her first kidney transplant anniversary, Brenda joins ARTavius and chats about her journey to transplantation on the eighth episode of the “Stories of Hope podcast.”
