🔎 The truth:
Your eye color doesn’t change how sharp your vision is. Everyone’s eyes work the same way when it comes to seeing clearly. But eye color can affect comfort and eye health in a few ways 👇

☀️ Light sensitivity
People with lighter eyes (blue, green, gray) often feel more sensitive to bright sunlight because they have less melanin in the iris to absorb light.

🕶 Natural sun protection
Darker eyes contain more melanin, which can act like a built-in sun shade and help absorb more light.

We’re proud to spotlight Dr. Alison Moore, whose dedication to patient-centered care helps make our clinic exceptional.

Dr. Moore graduated with honors from the Southern College of Optometry and was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa honors society. She also completed a residency focused on anterior segment care, refractive and ocular surgery, and ocular disease, bringing advanced expertise to the patients she serves.

She’s passionate about providing comprehensive, full-scope optometric care and helping every patient achieve their best possible vision.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Moore enjoys spending time with her family, reading, baking, and gardening.
