What we see in the MOUTH can tell us a lot about what’s happening during SLEEP.
I just finished a lunch and learn with a dental office, and one of the biggest questions was how we screen for sleep apnea.
Sometimes it’s not just about symptoms.
It’s anatomy.
It’s airway.
It’s clues we see every day as dentists.
A high or narrow palate doesn’t diagnose sleep apnea, but it can be an important signal that someone may need further evaluation.
Screening is the first step.
It can truly be life-saving.
