Since the softball team at Kossuth has had to cancel their fundraiser, per customer request, we are offering a limited quantity of chocolate covered strawberries. Pickup will be Friday at the shop.

HUGE thank you to Alcorn County Electric Power Association for getting my shop up and running! I owe you big time!! To my customers—I’m out of town at at buyer’s show, but as soon as I return Thursday, we will be getting the coolers and freezers restocked! All preorders for events and Super Bowl will be fulfilled.

I still do not have power at the shop, as the line is down; I am not complaining, because I know this is a lengthy process. Is it inconvenient and financially stressful? Yes! But, I know ACE is doing everything they can, and I’d rather someone who has a much greater need than I do get theirs restored first. I am very grateful to have It in my home.

I have cleaned out all spoiled food from the freezers and coolers at the shop. As soon as electricity is restored, I will restock, and my staff and I will work as hard as we can to replenish our inventory.

Please remember and support all of us small businesses when we get back up and running. This has been a huge financial hit.

We gratefully donated 200 cinnamon rolls to Alcorn County Electric Power Association while Main Street Corinth donated other breakfast foods. Despite being exhausted, the employees were all so very kind. Say a prayer for all of them as they are working tirelessly doing very dangerous work.

I was really hoping to open up and try to cook and donate food for people tomorrow, but the power line to my shop is on the ground, with debris blocking the route to the pole. My son is clearing all the trees/limbs tomorrow, but I am unsure when the line can be repaired.

I will open back up as soon as I can!

Regardless of how long it takes, I am so very thankful to the ACE employees as well as all emergency personnel. I did lose a lot of food/stock, but I am choosing to be grateful as opposed to complaining, as it could have been much worse.

I love my customers, but I refuse to allow myself or my staff to be cursed and mistreated. It is better for me to just close instead of losing my temper, showing my mean side, and saying something I should not. I simply won’t put up with it. The sad thing is, I have some things left, but it just is not worth it. Therefore, the shop will be closed until next week and reopen when weather permits.
