Whew…. after double checking my purchase history, we used 126 dozen eggs, over 220 pounds of powdered sugar, over 600 lbs of chicken, 170 pounds of butter and many more ingredients I did not count (I was not emotionally prepared to add up supply costs yet🤦🏻♀️). Yes, the shop is small, so I am very thankful for off site storage!
More importantly, we put as much time, effort and love as we could into each dish prepared, hoping that it would bring emotions such as: happiness for families (especially those who don’t get to see each other often), comfort for those missing someone special through loss or distance, love for those who may not have anyone with whom to spend the holiday, and obviously, to make things easier for people who simply don’t have the time or the physical capability to cook.
I cannot begin to convey how THANKFUL I am to everyone who has supported my little pipe dream of a business. The shop will be closed tomorrow and Saturday, as I have events. We will be closed Sunday and Monday so I can rest and do more than see my family just in passing. This has been a rough two plus weeks of prep.
I’ll be posting the Christmas menu soon, but in the meantime, enjoy the rest of this Thanksgiving!!
