This week showcased the dedication of our hospital staff, who worked long hours and stepped up during the storm to care for our community.

We recognize the countless hours, flexibility, and willingness many of our staff have shown—often stepping into roles outside their usual responsibilities to ensure our patients and operations were supported during challenging conditions. Their commitment and teamwork truly reflect the heart of MRHC. 💚

We also extend our sincere thanks to our Hospital Board members and Administration for providing and serving lunch and dinner for staff, catered by Vicari, as a meaningful show of appreciation. We’re proud of this entire MRHC team.

⚠️ Use Caution on Icy Surfaces ⚠️

We’ve seen a recent increase in ER visits due to falls on ice, and we want to help keep our community safe. Icy conditions can be dangerous—even short walks can lead to serious injuries.

🧊 Tips for walking safely on ice:
• Take small, slow steps
• Walk like a penguin—feet slightly outward, arms at your sides
• Keep your center of gravity over your front leg
• Wear shoes with good traction or ice grips if available
• Use handrails when possible
• Avoid rushing—give yourself extra time

If you don’t have to go out, it’s safest to stay indoors until conditions improve.

Please take extra care, look out for one another, and stay safe and warm. 💚
