He was a proud member of Harmony Hill Baptist Church and carried his Baptist faith with him throughout his life. For 39 years, Greg dedicated himself to Caterpillar, where he wasn’t just a coworker—he was “Big Daddy.” His larger-than-life personality and endless jokes made him unforgettable to everyone he worked with. He also served as a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and past Master of Burnsville Masonic Lodge #233, roles he held with pride and respect. Greg’s happiest moments were spent outdoors or surrounded by family. He loved fishing trips with his granddaughters, deer hunting adventures, and cheering loudly at their sporting events. He played in the “LoveLikeLucas” men’s softball league in Corinth, proving that his energy and humor were just as strong on the field. Music was another passion—Greg could often be found strumming his guitar, singing, or writing songs. And if he wasn’t making music, he was on the front porch, whittling wood, enjoying the weather, and probably plotting his next prank. Greg was a fun-loving man who never missed a chance to play jokes on family and friends. He passed down his own brand of mischief to the kids in the family, proudly teaching them how to flip the bird—a legacy of laughter they’ll carry forever. He lived with joy, loved with his whole heart, and left behind stories that will be retold with smiles and chuckles for generations.

Marcia Rhodes

It is with both sorrow and deep gratitude that we announce the passing of Marcia Ann Brewster Rhodes, a devoted Christian woman whose life was a reflection of God’s love, grace, and kindness. She went home to be with the Lord on December 2, 2025. There will be no service.

Born on January 10, 1953, Marcia lived a life marked by unwavering faith and a heart that welcomed everyone she met. To many, she was an angel on earth—someone who offered comfort without being asked, prayed without hesitation, and loved without condition. Her gentle spirit and servant’s heart touched countless lives, often in quiet, humble ways that only later revealed the depth of her impact.

She lived out her faith every day, not only in what she believed but in the way she loved others. Her church family at Gaines Chapel Global Methodist Church was especially dear to her. Whether she was serving, lending a helping hand, or offering a quiet prayer for someone in need, she showed Christ’s love in everything she did. Her presence there was a light—steady, humble, and full of grace.

Marcia also poured her heart into her work at State Farm for 41 years, where she was known for her kindness, steady presence, and the way she made everyone feel seen and valued. She approached each day with compassion and purpose, touching lives through lovingly offering a mother’s patience, a mentor’s wisdom, and a friend’s loyalty. “Her boys at the office” brought her immense joy, and she touched their lives in ways they will never forget. Her influence in the office will be remembered with deep gratitude.

Above all, Marcia cherished her family. Her greatest joy came from being a devoted mom and grandmom, and she poured her love into them in countless ways. She was the one who always remembered every birthday, celebrated every milestone, and showed up with unwavering support during life’s hardest moments. She led her family with quiet strength, endless patience, and a faith that carried them all. Her presence will be profoundly missed, but the lessons she taught, the example she set, and the love she gave will continue to shape her family for generations to come.

Marcia is preceded in death by Parents- Shirley and Marcus Brewster; Brother- Marcus Brewster Jr.; Grandchildren- Megan Rhodes and James Michael Rhodes III and is survived by Children- Jim Rhodes, Jesse(Ashlea) Rhodes and Joey Rhodes; Grandchildren- Molly(Luke) Spencer, Presleigh Rhodes, Gracie Rhodes, Lucy Rhodes, Slater(Lindsey) Huggins; Great Grandchildren- Kyrstin Troxell, Kimberly Troxell, Gannon Huggins, Lyla Huggins, JD Huggins, and Linton Rhodes, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice in knowing she now rests in the arms of her Savior, and that her life continues to shine through all those she inspired.

“Well done, good and faithful servant… enter into the joy of your Lord.” — Matthew 25:23
