Though we don’t see Edmond AMR, here. We still see AMR from AMR Weatherford, Oklahoma.

Please keep in mind these tips when you see an emergency vehicle.

🚑Emergency Vehicle Safety🚑

It is likely you will encounter emergency vehicles while driving on the road. AMR-Edmond ambulances are equipped with lights and sirens that are utilized when units respond emergently. When emergency vehicles approach using lights and sirens, you should:

-Avoid abrupt maneuvers as they can cause a traffic accident.

-Use your turn signals to signal that you are pulling over.

-Pull over as far right as possible; it is dangerous for our units to pass on the right. If you cannot yield all the way to the right, come to a complete stop.

-Slow down and come to a complete stop. Continuing to drive in an adjacent lane can obstruct the emergency vehicle's intended route.

-Watch for additional emergency vehicles such as firetrucks and police units. AMR responds jointly with both agencies.

-Allow the emergency vehicle to pass before continuing normal traffic patterns.

-Edmond

We are currently looking to replace our structure gear, replace SCBA’s on both engines and our back up bottles. Monetary donations are the most helpful as we can use them where we need for replacing/repairing equipment or PPE.
If monetary donations aren’t your style, we are in need small gatorades, small power-aids, individually wrapped snacks for fire scene rehab.

🚨 Red Flag Warning – Western Oklahoma 🚨
The National Weather Service, in coordination with Oklahoma Forestry Services (OFS), has issued a Red Flag Warning for tomorrow, Friday, January 16, 2026, for western Oklahoma.
Very dry post-frontal air, gusty winds, and dormant vegetation will create dangerous wildfire conditions, with the potential for rapid fire spread tomorrow afternoon and evening.
You can help prevent wildfires by taking these precautions:
🔥 Avoid any activities that could spark a fire
🔥 Check any recent outdoor burns to ensure they are fully extinguished
🔥 Make sure trailer chains are not dragging
🔥 Avoid driving off-road or parking in grassy areas
🔥 Delay outdoor welding or grinding until conditions improve
Please stay alert and help protect our communities, firefighters, and natural resources. One spark is all it takes.
