🎨✨ Local Artist Call — Light the Way: A Winter Gathering for Opportunity ✨🎨

The Lotus Mental Health Foundation is seeking local Charlotte artists to showcase their work at our upcoming fundraising event, Light the Way: A Winter Gathering for Opportunity on December 6th. We’re curating a cozy, uplifting evening featuring live music, local creativity, and community connection; all in support of scholarships for trauma survivors to access mental health care.

What we’re looking for:
Original artwork to display or donate for our silent auction
Pieces inspired by healing, resilience, hope, or transformation
Artists who want to connect with a compassionate community

How to participate:

In the wake of the devastating damage caused by Helene, our community faces not only the physical destruction but also profound emotional and psychological challenges. As a dedicated nonprofit organization focused on mental health, we recognize that the need for immediate and sustained mental health support is critical at this moment.

The impact of Helene has left many individuals and families grappling with trauma, anxiety, and grief. Our network of licensed mental health professionals is committed to providing essential services, including crisis counseling, trauma-informed therapy, and community support groups. However, to effectively address the overwhelming needs of our community, we urgently require funding.

We are seeking immediate funding to expand our outreach and enhance our mental health programs. Your support will enable us to:

1. Provide Immediate Counseling Services: Offering free, accessible counseling to those affected, ensuring that no one is left to cope alone.

2. Train Community Volunteers: Equipping local volunteers with the skills to support their neighbors in crisis.

3. Develop Long-term Support Programs: Establishing ongoing mental health workshops and support groups to foster resilience and recovery.

4. Increase Awareness: Creating educational materials to help the community recognize and address mental health issues resulting from the disaster.

Your contribution can make a significant difference in the lives of those affected. Together, we can help rebuild not just homes, but also the mental well-being of our community. Thank you for all you’ve done to support survivors!

Every penny donated works to provide mental health care to people who have experienced trauma. This can range from group therapies, to individual therapies and ketamine assisted psychotherapy. Please help us share the need to facilitate access to mental health care for those who are under or uninsured!
