Recovery Peer Advocate

Hello!! My name is Porshea Moore. I am a peer advocate at Corning Community College, part of the Collegiate Recovery Center. I am a person in long term sobriety from opiates, which means I started my new life in sobriety in April 2014. To me, recovery is living a life free from the chains of addiction and being able to live each day happy, healthy and free. I now have the choice about how my life will be and I am able to actually live without the need of daily substances to function. I dedicated my life to helping others suffering from their own addictions. If you or anyone you know is struggling with addiction and want to enter into recovery, we are here to help at the CRC. I want you to know that you are not alone! If need to talk to someone about where to start email us at recoverypeers@corning-cc.edu! We are here to help! We have many trained peers for you to connect with. Please reach out and let us help!!! WE DO RECOVER!!!!
