Play-based speech therapy might look like fun and games, but there’s so much more happening behind the scenes.

Children don’t need to sit at a desk or complete worksheets to make progress. In fact, many of my best breakthroughs come during pretend play, floor time, and hands-on activities.

I blend evidence-based strategies with child-led moments to keep therapy effective, respectful, and developmentally appropriate.

😲Did you know there are different types of lisps?

From interdental to lateral, each type affects speech in its own way—and some are harder for others to understand.

Some lisps are part of typical development, but some are not. If they stick around past age 4 or start to impact your child’s confidence, it’s worth checking in with a speech therapist.

When Jenna from reached out and asked me to network, I was so excited. She then told me she was moving to a new space and offered me the extra room.

Having a brick and mortar office was a long term goal but this opportunity was right in front of me. I took a leap of faith and officially opened my doors in June of 2022.

I can’t imagine my life and business without this space. This business is such a labor of love and I am so thankful for all of the families that continuously take a leap of faith in me.

So thankful for this little corner of Warren, CT where I get to do what I love ♥️

🎁The holiday season can be so stressful, especially with little ones around.

Your littles are going to want to touch the tree, it’s natural (and hey, it’s really shiny and pretty) 🎄

Instead of telling them that they can’t touch, tell them what they can touch ... their own tree! 🎄

Since I have 3 little ones now, we had to get a bigger tree this year so all of their ornaments could fit 🤣

I set all of their ornaments aside and let them decorate it however they want. They can touch the ornaments all season and play with them if they want to. They LOVE showing their tree off to guests too!

🎁They love it, I love it ... WIN-WIN!

Let me know if you’ll be trying this hack at home! ⬇️

Both school and private practice therapy play an important role in supporting children, but they work a little differently.

In private practice, I'm not limited by school schedules or eligibility requirements. That means we can start sooner, involve families more closely, and create goals that reflect your child’s life beyond the classroom.

Not sure which path is right for you? Let’s talk about it. Consultations are always free!

A speech sound disorder is the "broad" term we use to say that someone has difficulty with producing speech sounds. Articulation and phonological disorders both impact how a child speaks, but they’re not the same.

While they both impact speech, they are treated very differently therefore it is important to choose a provider who knows the difference.

Not sure what your child is showing signs of? I'm here to help you figure it out. Contact me today to schedule a free consultation!

Being private pay allows myself and families to:

•Inquire and get an appointment in a timely manner
•Use a correct diagnosis and be seen as many times as appropriate (not spreading sessions out through the year since insurance will only pay for a limited amount)
•Ensure that families get the specialized therapy they are looking for. I’m not a “generalist”, I treat two very specific areas of my profession. Not dealing with insurance headaches allows me to take professional development courses and extend my knowledge and hell your child progress!

Thinking about starting therapy for your child? DM me today and let’s get started!
