Mindset is important to success.

Most people don't "get" the importance of being persistent, but it's the most crucial aspect of having the right mindset.

Don't treat your life like a sprint race. Instead, approach it like a marathon.

Your behaviors will need to change. You’ll have to form new habits. Intellectually, you'll have to understand why you’re making these changes and spend time introspecting about negative emotions as they pop up.

The simplest way to do all this is to start a journal. Write down three goals you want to accomplish in the short term (within six months).

Each day, write down three good things that happened to you. Finally, write down what didn't work or what you aren't happy about in your life and what you'll do to change.

Keep everything you write action-based. In other words, make each statement a statement of action.

Instead of writing "I will try harder," write "I will walk 3 miles tomorrow." See the difference?

Create a vision board to help you achieve your goals faster.

If you study the most successful people in history, you'll find that they all had a crystal clear vision for what they wanted.

Not just the surface level stuff, but the deep, underlying reasons that drive them towards success.

See, people who achieve great things in life aren't normally any more intelligent or capable than the average person. But they do one thing different which most people have a hard time doing:

They expect to win, even before they know how they're going to do it.

Having expectations doesn't require knowledge of how those expectations are going to be, and if you start from a foundation of bold expectancy, the rest is just a matter of perseverance.

One of the best ways to get started is to make a vision board.

It's simple. All you need is a poster board and a few photos illustrating your ideal lifestyle.

Put your vision board up on your bedroom or bathroom wall where you can see it every morning and every night before you go to bed.

Try this tip and you’ll be amazed at how well this works for you.
