Here is a beautiful tribute from one of our members. We love our JY yogis!
Dear Just Yoga Family,
You have welcomed me with open arms, and for that, I am eternally grateful. I had been thinking about joining for several years, and my only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner. Although I’m still new to the journey, I’ve already learned so much from each of you and have begun to feel the healing effects yoga has on both mind and body. More than anything, I’ve come to see this as a journey to heal my soul and maybe an exploration of how to find balance, grace, and tools to navigate life’s transitions with greater ease and acceptance.
Dear Marleen,
Thank you for greeting me on my very first day with such warmth and genuine kindness. You immediately made me feel welcomed, even as someone who tends to be shy in new spaces. Thank you for introducing me to yin yoga and helping me discover power in stillness. Your class challenges me (in the best of ways 😉). it reminds me that I am capable of doing hard things, and that perfection is never the goal. What matters is that I show up, that I try, and that I keep practicing. Thank you for creating an environment where effort and progress are celebrated instead of performance.
Dear Shannon,
Thank you for the serenity, light, and wisdom you bring to every class. Learning how to truly breathe has been deeply cathartic. You create such a peaceful space where we can let go of racing thoughts and reconnect with the body. I can feel how intentionally every detail of your class is woven together: the breathwork, the music, the movements, and the intention all flow seamlessly. Breathwork, especially, has helped me slow down and find calm. It’s become a powerful tool for grounding myself instead of getting lost in all that is overwhelming.
Dear Sandeep,
Thank you for sharing your passion and gratitude for yoga so openly with all of your students. I deeply appreciate the thoughtful way you structure each lesson and how you guide us through the mechanics of each posture while helping us understand its deeper purpose. Your attention to detail and clarity of instruction make such a difference. I also admire your genuine nature and your ability to create a true sense of community within your classes. And thank you for always picking up all of our props during Savasana, it’s such a simple act of care, but it perfectly reflects the generosity and mindfulness you bring to your teaching.
Dear Lisa,
Thank you for helping me understand not only how each posture benefits the body, but why it matters. You’ve taught me the importance of listening to my body, and of moving with awareness and respect. Through your guidance, I’ve started to connect with my body in a new way, to recognize its signals, and to honor what it needs. But above all, thank you for creating such a nourishing community, one filled with incredible teachers and students who are truly passionate about yoga. It’s a special place, and I feel lucky to be part of it.
