Our Story

You could say our roots go back over 50 years. Our founding father was Dr. Lawrence Nelson. In 1964 he returned home after medical school to start a family practice on Hamner Avenue. From those small beginnings he grew into a larger office with multiple providers. Eventually Dr. Lawrence retired and was succeeded by his son Dr. Robert Nelson. Over the years since, Citrus Valley Medical Associates has taken shape. We now have multiple offices, along with more doctors and more caregivers. As we’ve grown, our goals have remained unchanged: help our patients live long and live healthy. We believe we are part of this community, and this community is, and always will be a part of us.
