โค๏ธ๐๐ป We did it! ๐๐ปโค๏ธ
This morning we held our 1st Annual Move to Improve 5k, and we could not be more proud of the turnout and the incredible energy everyone brought. Congratulations to all of our medal winners โ and to every single person who crossed that finish line. For those who stepped outside of their comfort zone, you truly proved something powerful to yourselves today.
You showed up. You moved. And you reminded all of us what we are capable of when we decide to take that first step.
A huge thank you to our generous sponsors:
SUMMi7 โข The Elizondo Foundation โข United Home Care โข Mi Casa Hospice โข Mi Casa Home Health โข Meridian Care of Alice โข David Berlanga โข Dino Maldonado.
Your support made this event possible, and we are grateful for your commitment to our community.
We also want to recognize Ricky Garza and the Zapata Roadrunners, Mixmaster Joe, and every single Volunteer who gave their time to help us plan, organize, and execute this event. Thanks to your hard work and heart, our first year ran as smoothly as possible!
Thank you to Alice Police Department for keeping us safe during this event!
Thank you JoLynn Molina for making our shirts! They came out great! And to Light House Graphics for our backdrop!
Most importantly โ thank you to everyone who came out to walk or run. The encouragement, motivation, and support you shared with one another today is exactly what Move to Improve is all about.
We were also honored to welcome the Purple Door, reminding us that while today focused on physical movement, mental health is equally important. Both matter. Both deserve our attention.
Take care of yourself.
Get up and walk, jog, stretch, dance, bike, swim โ whatever keeps your body active and your mind strong. Keep your muscles and joints moving, and keep striving to be better for yourself and for each other.
See you next year! ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ๐โจ
