April at Contender is all about momentum, consistency, and showing up for yourself and your community. We’re at the start of our training cycle, so keep showing up, pushing hard, and making every session count as we prep for Murph. 💥

This is the month to push harder, support each other, and celebrate every win—whether it’s a new PR, mastering a movement, or simply giving your best in every session. The music’s up, the vibes are high, and the encouragement never stops.

We’re also proud to celebrate our Athlete of the Month – Kade Ramm and PT Client of the Month – Rolando Vega. Their consistency, effort, and positivity set the standard for everyone in the gym. 🙌

CrossFit Kids Murph Prep is back 🇺🇸

We’re getting our youth athletes ready for Memorial Day Murph with an 8-week program focused on building strength, confidence, and endurance.

Dates: March 30th – May 20th
Schedule: Mondays & Wednesdays, 4:45–5:30 PM
Ages: 8–12
Cost: $299

Focus areas:
• Pulling
• Pushing
• Squatting
• Conditioning

This is the perfect way for kids to learn proper movement, stay active, and be part of something bigger as we prepare for Murph on May 25th.

Drop-ins are welcome at $25 per class.

This could be your first class!

Abby just completed her first official workout at Contender CrossFit and she crushed it. 💪

But the workout wasn’t the most important part. The most important part was showing up.

Abby is a busy college student. Classes, studying, work, and everything else that comes with it. Her schedule is full, just like a lot of people. But she still made the decision to start her fitness journey. Because the challenge is not wanting to start. It is figuring out how to fit it into a busy life.

Walking into a gym can feel intimidating. Not knowing what to do. Wondering if you will have time. Questioning if you can keep up.

That is exactly why we start with a plan.

Before joining group classes, Abby worked one-on-one with a coach. She learned the movements, built confidence, and realized she was capable all along without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.

We’re looking for a Part-Time Physical Therapy Assistant to help clients move better, recover faster, and get back to doing what they love.

‼️ Requirements:
• Must hold valid Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) credentials/licensure
• Strong understanding of movement, rehab, and injury prevention
• Comfortable working one-on-one with clients

‼️ This role is for someone who:
• Enjoys helping people improve mobility, reduce pain, and build confidence in movement
• Believes in long-term progress over quick fixes
• Is coachable, open to feedback, and willing to grow
• Works well within a team environment

📅 Schedule and Lifestyle Fit:
This is a part-time role with flexible hours based on client demand (which is growing VERY rapidly). Ideal availability includes mornings and/or evenings, with opportunity for more hours as demand continues to increase.

No CrossFit certification required. Opportunity to expand into additional roles within the gym if interested!
