COVID-19 got you down? Many studies done by very important psychologists have shown that volunteering can boost your mental health (it also benefits those you're volunteering for).
COVID-19 didn't get you down? That's ok!! Because not only does volunteering boost your mental health, it also helps keep it up and running smoothly (did I mention it also benefits whomever you're volunteering for?)
Now that things are opening up again, Harbor Hospice is excited to announce that volunteers are again visiting patients.
We offer several opportunities for volunteers to help our patients and their families, including:
- Emotional support
- Companionship (i.e. arts & crafts, reading, playing games, etc)
- Yard work/lawn care/gardening
- Housekeeping
- Hair/nail care
- Music therapy
- Assist with writing letters/life reviews to send to loved ones
- Etc
