3/25 When I acquired this property last January, I was immediately smitten with the majestic Chinaberry Grandmother Tree, the largest of the 16 trees that adorned the land.

Tragically, about a month later, she was struck by lightning, an event I witnessed audibly. Though I sensed the impact, I was uncertain if she would survive the year.

As I watched her shed her bark like a snake shedding skins, slowly cracking and opening, I felt a deep connection to her spirit. Through various ceremonies and rituals, I sought to heal her wounds, enlisting the help of loving Sparkle Tribe to restore her vitality. Despite our collective efforts, she has reached the end of her journey. (In tears as I write this)

I do take solace in the synchronicity of my grandfather, a genius electrical inventor and president of Mensa, (Nikola Tesla reincarnated), and the striking of this tree, nestled in the center of the deck, by lightning.

I believe this was more than coincidence - a message of love, perhaps, signaling her release from a life that could have become precarious with impending storms.

It's as if the universe acknowledged her dedication to the land and its creatures, declaring it time for her well-deserved rest.

As she falls today as I just now heard the 1st Rev of the chainsaw I’m flooded with emotions, I am holding space in a salt bath.

The grandmother embarks on a new phase of her existence - stasis until winter.

This marks only the beginning. I envision her rebirth, transformed into The Goddess Functional Art a year from now, a testament to her enduring legacy.
