We want to give a warm welcome to another one of our newest members of the TSC family! Brandon Macias is our new nurse practitioner that is working eagerly to expand our Community Outreach Program! Brandon Macias, FNP-C is a Corpus Christi native, and is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. He began his career at Del Mar College and obtained his Associated degree in 2014. He then attended Chamberlain University for his Bachelors of Science in Nursing, completing the program in 2017. He has experience in both emergency medicine and trauma, and has worked in several Emergency Departments and stand-alone ER’s throughout the city of Corpus Christi. During his nursing career he completed his Masters of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas at Arlington in 2020. Brandon is a member of several professional organizations including the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Texas Nurse Practitioners Association, and the Coastal Bend Advanced Practice Nurses Association. Brandon is interested in serving the community through Thomas-Spann Clinic and increasing the quality of life to his patients through interventional treatments and complementary therapies. Brandon is a big outdoorsman and enjoys both hunting and fishing in his free time. He has two loves in this world, Primary Care and The Philadelphia Eagles!

We would like to welcome our newest member to the TSC family! Dr. Asmik Asatrian joined the Thomas-Spann family in September of 2020 as our first hospitalist. She completed her medical school training with honors at Donetsk National Medical University in Ukraine. Afterwards, she completed a family medicine residency training at Donetsk National Medical University, Ukraine. She then moved to the United States and participated in research at UCLA and Cedars Sinai, CA. Following that she went on to complete an internal medicine residency program at Texas Tech University Health Sciences center at El Paso. Dr Asatrian is board certified with American Board of Internal Medicine. She enjoys hospital medicine and providing comprehensive care for her patients.

Dr Asatrian is married with a beautiful daughter. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family outdoors at the beach. She also enjoys swimming, dancing, traveling and tasting the wide variety of international foods and seafoods.

We want to give a big warm welcome to Dr. Hart! She is new to the TSC family and just started seeing patients so call to schedule your appointment today!! Maurene Hart, DO is a Corpus Christi native, raised mostly in Houston. She attended Texas A&M University for undergrad, and then obtained her master’s in medical sciences at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. She stayed in Fort Worth for medical school at Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then completed her Family Medicine residency at Stony Brook Southampton in New York. She wanted to return to the “sparkling city by the sea” with her husband and two dogs to become established as a family medicine doctor. In her spare time, she enjoys jogging and cycling, beach days, and exploring new food scenes. She has a special interest in woman’s health and integrative medicine.
