It is this commitment that brought us together and continues to drive our work. Fundamentally we believe that the best care for our patients is not a luxury, but something they deserve. Over the years we have carefully developed a reputation for quality service and care of our patients. As we have grown to three different locations around Corpus Christi we have maintained this level of excellence by only hiring excellent cardiologists and continuing to strive for better care every day. During this time there have been amazing breakthroughs in cardiovascular care. Things that were impossible 15 years ago are routine today. At Coastal Cardiology PLLC we have embraced these advances by staying on the cutting edge of new procedures and drug therapies. We provide both inpatient and outpatient services, including state-of-the-art diagnostic and intervention therapies, created with the goal of restoring the patient's health. At Coastal Cardiology PLLC of Corpus Christi we are able to provide a level of excellent care, rooted in experience and taking advantage of the latest technology that may not be available to our patients otherwise. Congratulations to our Shoreline Cath Lab team and Drs. Travis Taylor and Norman Ramirez on the successful completion of the first TriClip™ transcatheter tricuspid valve repair procedure in South Texas!

The TriClip™ system is an advanced, minimally invasive technology for treating tricuspid regurgitation in patients who are at high risk for open-heart surgery, improving symptoms, functional capacity, and quality of life.

This latest achievement marks a major milestone for our cardiovascular program and the entire CHRISTUS Health system, reflecting our ongoing commitment to expanding structural heart therapies close to home.

Our cardiology practice is growing! Please help us in welcoming Vanessa Crosson, MSN, APRN, FNP-C to Coastal Cardiology, PLLC.

Vanessa was born in Magnolia, Arkansas and raised in Guntersville, Alabama. She and her family moved to Corpus Christi in 2016. Vanessa has vast experience over her twenty-eight years in the medical field that includes medical-surgical, phlebotomy, ICU, Cardiac ICU, telemetry, travel ICU, oral/maxillofacial surgery, public health nursing and family practice. Vanessa received her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nursing Practice from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She is certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and is a member of Texas Nurse Practitioners.

Please join us in welcoming CHRISTINA JOHNSON, APRN, FNP-C

Christina was born in San Diego, California and moved to Corpus Christi in 2003. She attended Calallen High School and graduated Cum Laude at Texas A&M University of Corpus Christi with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2015. After graduating she began her career as a Registered Nurse at a local community hospital. She has extensive experience in the care of cardiac patients having worked telemetry, ICU, and Cardiovascular ICU for the last several years. During her first year of nursing, Christina was the recipient of the Exceptional Clinical Nurse Award provided by Christus Spohn Shoreline. While continuing to work she returned to Texas A&M University of Corpus Christi and graduated with her Masters of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Family Practice. Her passion for cardiovascular diseases continues to grow as she consistently seeks opportunities to expand her knowledge and skills. Christina is dedicated to provide compassionate and quality care to her patients.

Outside of her professional life, Christina finds great joy in hunting and spending quality time with her family.
