As a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner she is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based health care to women across the lifespan. Born and raised in Houston, Texas her educational career led her to Durham, North Carolina, where she completed a Bachelor’s in Global Health prior to pursuing her nursing education. Earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing for Duke and a Master of Science from Georgetown University in Washington D.C. where she honed her skills as a WHNP. Prior to moving to Corpus Christi, Maria Lourdes practiced in San Antonio, Texas focusing her practice on family planning and reproductive health. She is passionate about empowering women through patient education and improving health outcomes for her community. Maria is also bilingual in Spanish. When she is not in the office, she enjoys time with her family and their labradoodle Marley.
