Due to the upcoming cold freeze and concerns from local authorities regarding icy road conditions, Corpus Family Practice will be closed on Saturday, January 24th, and Monday, January 26th, for the safety of our patients and staff.

Our staff will be contacting scheduled patients to assist with rescheduling appointments. We are planning to resume normal operations on Tuesday, January 27th, pending improved weather conditions. Any updates to our Tuesday schedule will be shared promptly.

👀 Look Before You Lock! 🚗🔒 : Never Leave Kids or Pets in Cars! ⚠️

With summer temperatures soaring, we want to share a crucial reminder for everyone in our community. It's easy to think it won't happen to you, but tragedies can occur quickly.

Did you know a car's interior can heat up by 20°F in just 10 minutes, even with a window cracked? 🥵 This rapid temperature rise is extremely dangerous for children and pets, leading to heatstroke, brain damage, or even death.

Here's how to prevent a tragedy:

☝️ Look Before You Lock! 🚗🔒 Make it a habit to always check the back seat every single time you leave your vehicle.

☝️ Create a Reminder: Put your purse, phone, or work bag in the backseat next to your child or pet.

☝️ Communicate: If you arrange for childcare, confirm that your child has arrived safely.

☝️ Act if you see something: If you see a child or pet alone in a hot car, call 911 immediately.
