• Little to no fever
• Usually feels better within a week

💨 RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus):

• Trouble feeding or sleeping
• Fever and persistent cough
• More serious in babies under 2 years old

🖐 What Parents Can Do:
✔️ Wash hands often
✔️ Clean toys and surfaces regularly
✔️ Keep little ones home when they’re sick
✔️ Watch for labored breathing, dehydration, or bluish lips — call your pediatrician if you see these signs

💙 Protecting Babies from RSV 💉

RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) is a common virus that can cause serious illness in infants — especially during the fall and winter months. The good news? There’s now extra protection available!

✨ What is Beyfortus?
Beyfortus (nirsevimab) is a one-time injection that helps protect babies from RSV all season long. It’s not a vaccine — it’s an antibody that gives your baby protection right away. 💪

👶 Who can get it?
✔️ Newborns and infants under 8 months entering their first RSV season
✔️ Some older babies at higher risk (ask your pediatric provider!)

💨 Why it matters:
RSV can cause severe breathing problems, cough, and wheezing in young children. Prevention is key!

Talk to our office about whether Beyfortus is right for your little one — we’re here to help keep your baby healthy this RSV season! 💙

🖐👣 Hand, Foot & Mouth Disease is Making Its Rounds! 🍂

This common childhood illness tends to pop up in the fall, especially in schools and daycares. While it can look a little scary, it’s usually mild and clears up in about a week. 💛

👶 What to watch for:
• Fever and sore throat 😷
• Tiny blisters or rash on hands, feet, or around the mouth
• Fussiness, drooling, or loss of appetite

🧼 How to help prevent it:
✔️ Wash hands often (especially after diaper changes!)
✔️ Disinfect toys and shared surfaces
✔️ Keep your child home if they have a fever or rash

There’s no specific treatment — just rest, fluids, and comfort care until it passes. If you’re unsure or symptoms worsen, give our office a call! 💙

🍼 October is SIDS Awareness Month 💛
Let’s talk about safe sleep for your little one.

Every baby deserves a safe sleep environment. Following these simple tips can help reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS):

💤 Safe Sleep Tips:
✔️ Always place your baby on their back to sleep
✔️ Use a firm, flat sleep surface (crib, bassinet, or play yard)
✔️ Keep soft items & loose bedding out of the sleep area
✔️ Room-share, don’t bed-share
✔️ Avoid overheating — dress baby comfortably
✔️ Offer a pacifier at nap and bedtime (if breastfeeding is established)

Every safe sleep makes a difference. 💕
If you have questions about your baby’s sleep environment, we’re here to help!
