Today we honored our veterans here at Villa Northwest and all veterans that served our country. Their courage, sacrifice and unwavering devotion remind us that freedom is never free. Each veteran carries a story of service of standing strong in the face of fear, of choosing duty over comfort and of protecting the ideals that make our country home. Special thanks to Chaplin Mike with Alan Hospice for a special prayer and pinning of our veterans and Liz with Devoted hospice for certificates of appreciation for their service and pastries and letters written by children for our veterans. Also a special thanks to the knights of Columbus 3110 out of Robstown for BBQ plates . Everyone enjoyed today’s celebration ending with goodie bags , chicken salad sandwiches and the raising of a new flag and pledge of allegiance 🇺🇸🙏❤️

Villa Northwest is a warm and comforting assisted living community that has a long-standing reputation for excellence in the Corpus Christi community. We are committed to treating residents like family. Tonda Johnson has served as Executive Director since 2015. Starting as a nurse at our sister Villa South in the memory care assisted living wing in 2000, Tonda transferred to Northwest in 2001 as the Director of Wellness. In 2016, Tonda earned the company’s Stewardship Award for her leadership at Villa Northwest in ensuring that residents are given “warmth and comfort,” safety and good value and that staff members are appreciated, given a good w ork environment and compensated fairly. As a nurse/administrator, Tonda continues to improve the quality of life for the Residents of Villa Northwest.
