If the reason you avoid Acupuncture is because you're afraid of needles check this out- an acupuncture needle is about the width of a hair...not so scary! And acupuncture needles are filiform meaning solid. Unlike a hypodermic needle which is designed to cut through your skin and vein's so that substances can be injected or withdrawn an acupuncturist goal is to pass these needles in the spaces between your cells.... many insertions cannot even be it felt. Other sensations may be short and fleeting "ahh ha" moments, senses of warmth, heaviness, or "things moving around." It's pretty darn cool. If you haven't tried it I highly recommend it.

It's that time of year- flu shots are available almost everywhere. Non medically trained people are offering flu shots to everyone regardless of their health.
Vaxtruth.com is a great resource to educate yourself if this shot is right for you.
There are some common misconceptions such as:
-flu shots do still contain mercury (levels determined low enough to be safe based on mercury consumption in water- not injected directly)
-flu shots do not address "stomach flu" but rather "respiratory flu" so it won't prevent the all feared vomiting, etc type
