Diamonds and Rubies Ranch

Diamonds and Rubies Ranch This is done through the unique experience of the Word (of God) and the herd.

Our ranch is a place for women and girls to build relationships, become part of a herd, experience the beauty of horses, and extract the fullness God has in store for them.

Sometimes forgiving self is more difficult than forgiving others. Have you ever found yourself thinking about past mistakes and thinking "I'm not worthy of forgiveness"? Maybe you hurt someone close to you and have found it difficult to mend that relationship, even to this day.

It is our testimony too, but we are thankful for the revelation God gave to us, to use our testimony for restoration. From rejection to restoration!

Think of this, 25 years before the Apostle Paul wrote to the Romans, he was on his way to murder Christians. God intervened on the road to Damascus and from there forward he called himself a bond slave of Christ. He knew he couldn't bring those lives back or repair the damage to the families he devastated, but he didn't allow his shame, guilt, and regret to stop him from being a devoted witness for Christ.

Paul was human, there were times he thought back of the great harm and devastation he caused. The new creation in Christ that Paul became used His pain for good. He allowed his past mistakes to humble himself but he also forgave himself because he recognized that Christ forgave him first. He used his testimony to write 13 books of the Bible. He helped fallen believers get back up. He corrected churches. He wrote from prison of his great love for Christ and others. He planted churches. Jesus himself told Paul he was chosen to be a witness. God chose a murderer to build the kingdom of God.

If we can't forgive ourselves, how can God use our testimony for good?
If God can use a murder like Paul, He can use us too.

Proverbs 1:7
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;fools despise wisdom and instruction.

The concept of fearing God may be challenging to both believers and non believers. Why would a loving God want us to fear Him?

It's important to know first that the Bible tells us God is compassionate and slow to anger. This means that all of His instruction and correction comes from bias free love. Even the most just judge has a small bit of bias because they are human and flawed.

The fear described in Proverbs and Hebrews and many other books of the Bible refer to a reverent fear of God not to be confused with being scared of Him. Feeling scared of something comes from a place of intimidation and lack of trust. Reverent fear of God is knowing He holds all power yet He chooses to be just in His power. We can trust Him and know that His correction is always for our protection. We can feel safe with Him.

We can see this in horses too. Horses choose to submit to a leader they know they can trust. There is a level of fear in knowing that the leader is more powerful, stronger, but they also know they will be safe in the herd under the leaders protection.

As we submit to a reverent fear of God, the Bible promises us wisdom and understanding.

Abortion regret is real and it's known as the forbidden grief because society doesn't create space for post abortive regret and recovery.
At Diamonds and Rubies Ranch, the story of abortion regret is part of our testimony.
Did you know that our ranch is named after two of our horses Diamond and Ruby?

Diamond rejected her baby at birth. We named her baby Ruby after Proverbs 31:10 "a virtuous woman is far more precious than Rubies" which is now part of our mission statement.

If you or someone you know suffers from post abortion regret, our barn door is open for you. We welcome you to an intimate quiet place where you can be forgiven and set free.
For more details about our abortion recovery retreats or one on one recovery sessions, please message us today.

A Stable Birth

This time of year is a special season for us as it is a reminder that the greatest gift ever given to the world began in the stable. The humble beginning of Jesus began in a stable because there was no room for Him at the inn.
This was somewhat of a precursor for His life. Even today there are times we don’t make room for Him in our lives or maybe we even refuse to.
It raises the question “what do we need to give up, to make room for Him”? For David, he had to give up anxiety. Moses had to give up anger. Thomas had to give up doubt. Paul had to give up pride. For us, maybe we resonate with these biblical historical figures or maybe it is something else. Maybe it is work, hobbies, relationships, hautiness, or maybe even just submission. As for Jesus, He gave up himself to make room for us. That our sins would no longer give way to death, but to life for all those that choose Him.
It is interesting that in this we see the very message of the cross. The message of the cross is giving up something, dying to self so that we may live fully for Christ.
Not only does making room for Jesus have eternal value, but even while here on this earth it restores to us earthly blessings to include peace, joy, contentment, and rest.
In Hebrews chapter 4, God was trying to give the jews rest in their journey out of Egypt. However, they chose not to make room for Him and instead tried to make room only for their own efforts.
Hebrews 4:3 says For only we who believe can enter his rest. As for the others, God said,
“In my anger I took an oath:
‘They will never enter my place of rest,’”[fn] even though this rest has been ready since he made the world.
Rest is a gift. Peace is a gift. Joy is a gift.
Certainly, doesn’t mean we will never have heartache. In fact Hebrews says that Jesus was perfected in His suffering. Just as Christ suffered, we must also suffer but we must know we are being perfected.
Jesus’ life is one of great humility. He humbly began his earthly life in a stable, because the world made no room for Him. He died on the cross to make room for our sins, offering himself up in our place.
Because of the joy that awaited Him, He endured the cross.
In this special season, may we make room for the greatest gift to humanity. One that was wrapped in a cloth, lying in a manger, born in a stable, hung and beaten on a cross, ignoring its shame, who now sits at the right hand of the Father. Let us strip away the things that take up space, especially the sin that trips us up and let us run with endurance the race that God has set before us. Lets make room every day for Jesus, the one who initiates and perfects our faith.

From our herd at Diamonds and Rubies Ranch, Merry CHRISTmas!
