Active Release Technique (ART) is a patented, state-of-the-art soft tissue system/movement based massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and nerves. Shockwave Therapy uses high frequency sound waves to initiate and enhance the body's own reparative reaction enhancing neovascularization and collagen production. Laser Therapy is the use of specific wavelengths of light (red and near-infrared) to biostimulate tissue repair and growth.

Now offering the novel EMTT, Magnetolith, in combination with focused shockwave and radial pressure waves.

In a randomized controlled trial of rotator cuff tendinopathies they found that using EMTT in combination with focused shockwave produced significantly greater pain reduction and increased functional outcomes by 30%.

We pride ourselves on having the latest cutting edge treatments along with Active Release Technique to be as effective as possible in treating your muscle-skeletal needs.

STUDIES INDICATE THAT SHOCKWAVE THERAPY IS AN EFFECTIVE TOOL TO DECREASE SCAR TISSUE

Shockwave Treatment for Scar Tissue

If you have surgery, you may develop post-surgical scar tissue. This also can happen after an injury or with cumulative trauma.

Scar tissue is formed as part of the normal healing process and happens whenever our body’s tissue is damaged.

Unfortunately, scar tissue is not as functional as the tissue that it replaces. Since it is a contracture of tissue it can decrease circulation, limit range of motion, and entrap nerves.

Decreasing Scar Tissue with Shockwave Treatment

The Storz Focused Shockwave machine that we use has been developed after many years of research and can pe*****te below the skin surface and break up scar tissue and calcification on a cellular level. The scar tissue is brittle and breaks up and then new blood vessels and collagen fibers are formed, and the tissue re-heals with a stronger more flexible and organized tissue.

How Long Will the Shockwave Therapy Take to Work?

Generally, shockwave treatment for scar tissue will help after 3 to 4 sessions but may take up to 5-10 treatments to be most effective depending on the chronicity and the extent of damage.

Exciting information on how Shockwave Therapy works to increase cartilage and collagen growth in Osteoarthritis of the knee!

The goal of our research was demonstrated that multiple molecules in microenvironments of the early osteoarthritis (OA) joint tissue may be actively responded to extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) treatment, which potentially regulated biological ...

Sharon Reynolds-Kyle's Shockwave pratice continues to grow. Getting her 2nd machine puts her among the very few in this country to offer both Radial and Focused Shockwave for treatment of musculo-skeletal conditions.

Now offering both radial and focused Shockwave therapy! A non-invasive method that uses either sound or electro-magnetic waves to treat various musculoskeletal conditions. Shockwaves deliver a mechanical force to the body's tissues to speed up recovery and cure various conditions causing acute or chronic pain. Shockwave stimulates the breakdown of scar tissue, angiogenesis, and collagen formation.
