March is Developmental Disability Awareness Month in Oregon.

On February 26, Governor Tina Kotek signed the official proclamation recognizing the importance of inclusion for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Living Studios artists celebrated by adding stamped text and creating word drawings inspired by the proclamation during a visit to the Corvallis Museum for the exhibit CALYX, Inc.: A Herstory of Radical Resilience.

This Friday, Living Studios will also take over the window at Jackson Street Youth offices to highlight DD Awareness Month.

You can also listen to a reading of the proclamation by OCDD Chair (and Living Studios Arts artist!!) Kelly McCauley: https://www.ocdd.org/dd-awareness/

March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month!

At Cornerstone Associates, inclusion isn’t just something we talk about, it’s something we work toward every day. We’re proud to support people with developmental disabilities as they build skills, express themselves through art, connect with others, and take part in their communities.

This month we celebrate the creativity, strengths, and contributions of the people we serve. A more inclusive community benefits everyone, and we’re grateful to be part of that work. ❤️
