Dalton exemplifies what it means to go above and beyond—every single day. He shows up with kindness, patience, and a deep commitment to our residents. What sets Dalton apart is the way he makes time for every individual. He’ll spend hours doing puzzles with one resident, then sit and talk or play games with another, always making space for connection. One resident looks forward to their daily drives with him. Like clockwork, Dalton never misses it. Another resident s eyes light up when Dalton brushes and braids their hair, a small act that speaks volumes about his care and gentleness.

Dalton also embraces change with enthusiasm. When I introduced the idea of making mealtimes more communal, he didn’t hesitate. I walked in one evening to find him sitting with a resident at the dining room table, sharing dinner and conversation. The resident looked so happy to be included and now Dalton does this every night, creating a sense of togetherness that’s truly special.

When I rolled out the fall cleaning list, Dalton didn’t just do his part, he did it with no hesitation. He brings a sense of safety, joy, and reliability to Stone Street. His presence makes the environment feel warm and welcoming, not just for residents, but for staff too. Dalton doesn’t just do his job. He elevates the standard for what compassionate care looks like.

Dalton doesn’t get nearly the recognition he deserves. His quiet consistency and deep compassion have a profound impact on Stone Street and its residents, He creates connection, comfort, and joy in ways that truly matter.

🎉 CONGRATULATIONS🎉 TO Chevelle Garcia of 29th Street,
Benco’s August 2025 Employee of the Month!!!

Alberto and I believe that Chevelle encompasses the qualities of a phenomenal employee for Benco and co-worker/team worker. She brings positivity to the team. She uses these strategies for positive person-centered support and redirection when needed. Chevelle is familiar with ALL of the residents PBSP’s and ISPs. She uses them to provide the best support possible and will try to lead by example by following these support plans.

Whenever she is able to, she likes to do activities with the residents and get them out in the community to enjoy themselves. If she does not know how to provide the best support to an individual, she will ask others to find the best means of supporting individuals. She works hard at her job, and she is efficient and effective at it. She knows her importance while providing high quality support with humility and the utmost respect. The residents feel safe around her because she makes sure their safety is her number one priority. She truly listens to the residents and makes sure they feel heard and understood. She encourages and provides positive choices for the residents but never gets discouraged when the residents make their own personal choices.

She may be one of the most thorough people with their documentation, always written with honesty and completion. On the rare occasion when she is not already completing tasks and providing care, she is asking her fellow teammates what she can do to make their jobs easier. When one of the individuals that she regularly supports was in the hospital and preferred a female staff to provide support she stepped up to ensure their comfort, dignity, and health was being looked after. Also, at one point she was a sub, who had taken on a full time schedule for a period of time just because she knew that we were in utter need to make sure individuals where getting the level of support they deserve and to aid her team-workers.
