This virtual event presents a unique opportunity to enhance vaccine knowledge and improve clinical practices by delivering a wide range of health topics between August 16th - August 20th, creating a dynamic and robust curriculum dedicated to improving health equity. With August recognized as the National Immunization Awareness Month (NIAM), you don't want to miss this chance to connect with health professionals as we highlight the importance of vaccinations to achieve community immunity.

HPV Vaccination Week is less than a month away. Are you interested in exploring resources regarding HPV vaccination? The Oregon HPV Cancer Free website offers a variety of resources for parents, providers, and community organizations. The HPV vaccine is for both boys and girls between the ages of 9 and 12. The HPV vaccine prevents 6 types of cancer.

1. Men get cancers caused by HPV in large numbers, too.

2. There are now more cases of head and neck cancers than cervical cancers in America; HPV causes 70% of them, according to the CDC.

3. There is no test for HPV cancers in males.

4. The odds of getting HPV-related cancer increases with age.

5. The vaccine is just as safe for boys as it is girls.
