Today, Sam Lahue spoke with high school students about careers in EMS — from the training it takes to what the job is really like working on an ambulance.

Conversations like this help students see the many different paths available in healthcare and better understand the role EMS providers play in their communities.

Bringing a helicopter into a scene doesn’t just happen — it’s carefully orchestrated.

Landing zones have to be secured, communication has to be clear, and multiple agencies have to work together to make sure everything happens safely.

Great teamwork on this scene between Harrison Township Fire Department, Air Methods, and Harrison County Sheriff's Department to coordinate the landing zone and patient transport.

A lot of moving pieces, all working toward the same goal. 🚁
