An unfortunate update. The USDA reported that there will not be any SNAP benefits in November. Please keep an eye out for any local food banks, assistance from the Salvation Army or churches, or sign up for any donations or giveaways that might be occurring in your area. This is a greatly unfortunate act that affects millions.

Another month is coming to an end, a new one is about to begin, and the seasons are shifting and changing. Many of us are also experiencing shifts and changes with the seasons, whether it be challenges with life, new changes that are both chosen and imposed, SAD (seasonal depressive disorder), or a number of other things.

Nature doesn't apologize for the shifts and changes she goes through. Fall brings a vibrancy of colors. She invites the change. Grass and flowers begin to die off, the trees loose their leaves. They all let go so they can rest and return stronger the next year. It's all party of the cycle of life. You deserve that same grace.

If this time of year brings new energy, welcome it. If it brings heaviness or fatigue, honor that too. Growth and change doesn’t always look like blooming. Sometimes it looks like slowing down, getting quiet, and preparing for what’s next. Root down, strong like a tree. Welcome the shifts that occurring and that are yet to come. New life will be waiting.

Give yourself permission to change with the seasons. After all, you're just going through a new cycle of life. Embrace it.

πŸ“š Back-to-School Transitions & Mental Health

With school starting up, many people notice a rise in stress. New routines, earlier mornings, and busy schedules can feel overwhelming at firstβ€”and that’s completely normal.

Here are a few gentle ways to care for your mental health during this transition:
βœ… Simplify your routines – create consistent morning and evening structures to reduce decision fatigue. Something as simple as laying out an outfit the night before can cut back on morning chaos, indecision, and meltdowns.
βœ… Build in small breaks – even 5 minutes of mindful breathing, stretching, or quiet time can reset your day.
βœ… Practice self-compassion – it’s okay if everything doesn’t feel organized right away. Adjustment takes time.

Transitions can feel chaotic, but with patience and flexibility, new routines often bring a sense of balance. πŸ’™
