I’ve had a few people ask about cramping recently, too!

There are MANY reasons you can get a cramp…and a few different ways to fix them.

This video covers a calf cramp fix that uses activation of the opposite muscle to turn the cramping muscle off.

This wouldn’t be as helpful if your cramp is due to electrolyte or hydration issues, but can be useful for “overstimulation” types of cramps.

This is NOT treatment or diagnosis, just education.

Single Leg Work is important for your feet.

This may look like an exercise for my hips (which it is), but it is also an exercise for my feet.

My feet feel the most “effort” when I do this and intentionally press my toes into the ground and keep my feet square with the wall in front of me while my hips are moving.

Try something like this using the wall and ground as resistance if you don’t have time to use weights or bands!

Glute pain is pretty common in runners...and sometimes no matter how much you've rubbed it out, it still persists over time.⁠

For this patient, who had chronic glute pain off and on for 10 years, it was a pretty simple set of exercises that fixed the pain.⁠

Her body responded more quickly than either of us thought it might...and she had no glute pain by her 2nd visit! ⁠

Sometimes simple movements can make all the difference in the world.⁠

Me and this absolute CHAMP are going to tackle a track 5k together this Saturday.

I’m pacing her to try to break 17:00 in her 40s!!! (She’s never broken 17 before.)

And I’ve never actually run a 5k on the track (but have run sub-17 on the roads multiple times).

I am incredibly excited for her and so excited that I get to be part of it.

Pacing is one of the most rewarding parts of running for me these days, it’s great to be part of someone’s special moments.

International Women’s Day!

I have so many successful, intelligent, kind and passionate women in my life who inspire me daily and who have contributed to all I have and all I am. (And sorry for those I couldn’t tag )

Thank you to all the women who support my chiro career and push me to be the best doctor I can be.

Thank you to all my teammates and fellow runners out there-without you I would not have learned to push myself and have confidence.

To my lady business mentors (special shout-out to because we don’t have a pic), thank you for showing me how to better a community through business and reassuring me that it’s okay to operate from the heart. ❤️

To all the women (in my life and not) who heal the world, contribute to humanitarian work, and push the boundaries on human education and knowledge, thank you.

The world is a better place for you all, I am a better person.

And for the OG woman in my life, thanks to my mom for teaching me how to live life with integrity, selflessness and humor. I love you.

Many people think they have Piriformis Syndrome when there’s actually something else causing the Piriformis to be tight and painful.

This video demonstrates some tests to help differentiate.

A few tests does not make a diagnosis…so this is not meant to diagnose or treat. Please see a provider to get a full battery of tests and an evaluation if you think you have this.

Do you have an actual pain in your butt? Does your glute pain keep you from running, biking, lifting, or just make life less enjoyable? Do you feel pain that's deep and achy into your glutes? Does it bother you when you're sitting or trying to sleep at night? Do you find yourself trying to sleep in certain positions to make it more comfortable? If you constantly feel nagging symptoms in your glutes, you could have Piriformis Syndrome. This happens when the Piriformis muscle gets so tight, it actually compresses a nearby nerve. It’s more rare than common, and usually happens when a person has a nerve that goes through the muscle instead of under it, which is an unusual anatomical variation.
